Now Would Be A Good Time
If you’ve had your eye on something enticing from McSweeney’s and held off purchasing, now would be an excellent time to pick up that book, subscription or piece of art. Like many small publishers McSweeney’s is a break-even business venture at best. Their distributor filed for bankruptcy last December 29 and it has now lost McSweeney’s $130,000 in real actual money they’ve earned, just poof like Kaiser Soze.
As added incentive, they’re holding an auction this week and having a massive sale on books and subscriptions. Note: Do not be daunted by the very expensive stuff they’re showing on the landing page of the store. Most of their offerings are very affordable and every little bit helps. They just have to push their big ticket items, of course. Please, read more about the offers on McSweeney’s, go to the store and help save them. It worked for Fantagraphics and could work for Micky Swee’s now.

I don’t want to live in a world where there is no place to submit the writing of, for instance, a mock legal document presenting the lawsuit of Radio Star verses Video, suing for wrongful death. I just refuse! hehe actually, if anyone wants to write that with me, let me know…
