History

This looks like a really cool tool for writers, and dorky good funtimes for anyone interested in reminiscing beyond what is covered by VH1.

Just this morning, while debating the fine line and overlap between the fashion of pirates and punks because I’m not sure which I saw in my neighborhood last night, I pondered what future historians will make of the skull fashion trend. Will they think us obsessed with death because of the war in Iraq or AIDS or global warming? Will they think punks are the new pirates for their establishment flouting stance and association with crime and revelry? Are they? Aren’t they? Will this notion be supported by the internet concept of pirate and with the downloaded music on the iPods of hipsters, wearing skull-embroidered terrycloth wristbands and carrying pink rhinestone encrusted skull-shaped keyrings?

Historians of the future have their work cut out for them.
