Chucked
Seeing this just now (written in the style of Chuck Palahniuk) and having just put the copy of “Diary” I loaned to Susan back on my bookshelf, I was reminded of our conversation when she returned it this weekend.
“We should do a book exchange again.”
“You can take your book back. I HATED it!”
“Really?”
“I couldn’t get past forty pages, it was so awful. “
[laughing]
“TERRIBLE!”
And I thought she would have loved it so much… being a visual artist, breaking her leg and all. But then I remembered the book’s details about rusty jeweled broaches stuck through bloody nipples. Guess Susan’s just not into that sort of thing.
