Back That Up
I’m so behind I’ll be backing up for the next few posts I think (there’s a butt joke in there somewhere).
Puerto Rico was wonderful. It’s just plain terrible to be back. I finally got around to posting photos to flickr.
Got back tuesday night and sadly, it already feels like very long ago (just two fridays ago) because so much has been going on: my birthday stuff (people! prezzies!), San Juan (sand in my business, delicious vacation), classes at The School of Burlesque (Dirty Martini & Jo Boobs, very much like ballet but with heels, glitter and flirting), The Pogues show last night (Shane performed in a wheelchair and drunkenly told us “yarrummph bleh thrrft weh naow brah”, and I started reading a fiction novel on vacation that I actually adore (the awesome Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s “Good Omens").
I keep sitting down to write and can’t pick a train of thought to jump on. I’m very tired. It was all I could do just now to follow Battlestar and talk back to the television.
In no way am I mentally or physically prepared to accept the Mondayness of tomorrow.
There are still many things to look forward to, developing photos from the waterproof camera, for one.
